About us

How we work

We work closely with user researchers and designers to understand how your site or service can be improved, using insights from real users. We do this using:

Content audits

We use automated and manual tools to review your entire site. We look for content that can be updated, streamlined, and rewritten using easy-to-understand plain language.

User research

We work with real people who use your site to learn about what does and doesn’t work. We identify pain points to alleviate, and bright spots to accentuate.

UX design

We combine a background in the visual arts with a decade of experience in writing and disability studies to create designs that are easy to navigate, fully accessible (WCAG 2.1 AA), and easy to understand.

Our values

Accessibility. As a firm led by a person with a disability, we center accessibility in all our work. Our mission is to create experiences and products that work for everyone. We’re experts in applying WCAG 2.1 AA standards and evaluating web content to ensure it meets accessibility standards.

Agility. We value flexibility and creative thinking, from coming up with unique solutions to problems to being able to quickly pivot to a new approach. We follow agile practices to make this value a reality.

Decentralizing ownership. We emphasize contributions from all participants and contributors. We feel that the most important thing is to make the best possible product or experience, and not that we’re able to take credit for any particular aspect of it. We leave our egos at the door so we can fully hear and accept feedback from any team member.
